I started my journey in audio when I was a junior in high school, before I even knew that audio engineering was a job. I was the only member of my high school rock band with an 8-track recorder and a few cheap microphones, so when it came time to record I wired everything up and did the best I could. Of course, the recordings were nothing to write home about, but ever since then I’ve been hooked on learning the art of sound. A few years after high school I moved from Cleveland Ohio to Athens Georgia to attend Tweed Recording School, where I learned how to record music with industry-standard techniques and equipment. After graduating and spending hundreds of hours in the studio, I continued my journey working as a freelance audio engineer, live sound engineer, audio video technician, guitarist/bassist, boom operator/sound mixer, and much more.
